Vouched expenses provide greater transparency and accuracy overall. For vouched expenses, including travel and subsistence, maintaining receipts is essential to comply with expense policies and to facilitate seamless reimbursement.

Where receipts are unavailable i.e. unvouched expenses such as subsistence or accommodation incurred at locations other than the normal workplace, these remain eligible for reimbursement based on day rates, even without receipts. While this scenario offers more flexibility, meticulous record keeping is required.
